Israel is slightly larger than Massachusetts, and lies at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Egypt on the west, Syria and Jordan on the east, and Lebanon on the north. Its maritime plain is extremely fertile. The southern Negev region, which comprises almost half the total area, is largely a desert. The Jordan, the only important river, flows from the north through Lake Hule (Waters of Merom) and Lake Kinneret (also called Sea of Galilee or Sea of Tiberias), finally entering the Dead Sea, 1,349 ft (411 m) below sea level—the world's lowest land elevation.  Israel has a Parliamentary Democracy. In 2006, Harvest Seed International Foundation was introduced to Tonya Topilliere, Director of Holy Land Ministries, in Tel Aviv, Israel.  This Ministry currently has two women's shelters and two men shelters in Jaffa, which is in the southern part of Tel Aviv.

First of all we want to thank you for your faithful support of our work in Israel! For a number of years our ministry has been doing various charity projects, teaching programs, soup kitchens etc. and is working to establish the "Negev Project". This project will establish an agricultural Messianic/Christian Community where we can receive the homeless Jewish immigrants, especially from the third world countries such as Russia, Ukraine, etc.

As disciples of Yeshua, we are commanded to help the needy, elderly and widows and we are determined to carry on with this mission as a top priority of Holy Land Ministries. The HLM pastor's families are committed to work in this believing community with the commitment to provide for themselves and for others who cannot suport themselves fully. All these are very demanding and long term projects, but the joy and fulfillment that the Lord is encouraging us with is overwhelming. We are so blessed and honored that our Lord has allowed us to minister to His people in the Holy Land of Israel.

We are very grateful that we have been able to share food with every needy person at our soup kitchen ministry. We are praying that we will be able to share with even more people in the future. The HLM homeless outreach event has also become an opportunity to invite other Messianic/Christian minsitries in Israel to unite and join our efforts in rescuing these precious souls in the name of our Blessed Messiah.

Every time we meet we have an open invitation to everybody who is ready and willing to come with us as they are , to leave the old life behind and to embrace a new life in Yeshua (Jesus). When they respond to this call , we arrange transportation for them to be brought to the variouse programs and rescue missions. they are then received with open arms. They are provided every tool and support for starting a new life with the Messiah (Jesus). Currently HLM is partnering with three other rescue missions that also serve the homeless and needy in Israel. This parnership and cooperation is a wonderful blessing from our Lord that enables us to strengtrhen and increase our efforts in rescuing His people.

Several weeks ago some of HLM's volunteers received a summons from the Beer Sheva Office of the Public Prosecutor accusing them according to Secion 174 of the Israeli Criminal Act (which determines that anyone who grants or receives a benefit in courtesy of or as a reward for a religious conversion is considered criminally offensive). The event that caused this accusation took place serveral months ago, when HLM volunteers consisting of different churches and ministries in Israel a started joint project in Beer Sheva. The goal of this joint project is to establish the homeless outreach for the poor and needy, just in the same way we have been doing this in Tel Aviv for many years. First, this new project looked quite easy for us because of the many years of experience. Though soon we discovered a strong spiritual opposition that we did not expect. On the very first occasion of the soup kitchen outreach in Beer Sheva the Orthodox local believers called the poice and accused us of breaking the Law according to Seciton 174 of the Israeli Criminal Act, as explained above. Many of the HLM volunteers were arrested at that time and spent many hours in the local police station. This Law Suit was supported by the Chief Rabbi of Beer Sheva. Please pray that the Lord will use this whole situation for His glory and will provide for us an opportunity to witness about the Yeshua's

Light and we will see redemption for many of the desperate souls around, even among the Orthodox believers who are still blinded about our blessed Messiah.

May many of these precious people have an Apostle Paul experience and their eyes opened by the Messiah himslf. This situation has also a tremendous potential for witnessing to many secular Isralis about Yeshuah's teachings about His love for the needy, about His mercy for everyone who comes to Him and is ready to turn to the God of Israel, His redeeming power to transform lives, and His gospel, the message of eternal salvation.

After many years of effort and prayer, HLM Pastor Oleg Nerodin, has obtained a long term business visa from the Isralei Embassy in Ukraine with the purpose of managing and progressing HLM's Negev Project in Israel. Pastor Oleg has also been serving as a memeber of the HLM Pastoral Board which is responsible for the spiritual oversight and direction of the work of Holy Land Ministries in Israel. Pastor's Oleg Physical move to Israel is a tremendous blessing for many on going HLM projects that require constant pastoral presence and supervision

Thank you again dear friends for all your prayers and support! Blessing and Greetings from your brothers and sisters in Israel! May His joy and Shalom be always with you!
