It is a pretty simple command and yet I find myself continually tying up my hourly and daily hands in work and distractions. With this New Year in full swing, I am dedicating my life to the full time work at Harvest Seed...Joan and I started Harvest Seed International Foundation in 2004. God has called us to go into Haiti, Uganda, India and Israel to build mission houses for widows and orphans. After much prayer we initially focused on Haiti, we purchased 12 acres of land in 2006 and we started to build our first Mission house in Gonaives, Haiti. It was completed in 2008 and opened on August 3rd, 2008. Our first 12 children came to us and entered into our care. About three weeks later in September, 2008, Haiti was hit by 4 hurricanes which flooded our property. Our Mission house was left under 20 feet of water. For safety, we then moved our kids from Gonaives to Port-au-Prince. One year and four months later, a 7.2 earthquake struck Haiti, with it's epicenter in Port-au-Prince. Everything was destroyed, including schools, the hospital, police barracks, hotels, the capital building, even the United Nations building. The death toll is still climbing and is expected to reach 400,000 people.
"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit the orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:27 (NKJV)
As you read through this sight you will see how God is unfolding this vision around the world and how you can help us make a difference One Seed At A Time...
